through the jet-lagged haze
...I am back from San Francisco, which was wonderful, and I will say more about all that later, I hope. But that is not the point of this post. The point of this post is that I have just started catching up on this season of Primeval, which started just after we left Oxford, and OMG! Best crack ever! Who else is watching this? Is it as hysterically crazy as I think? And when does Daniel Jackson make an appearance?

I really hope the rest of the episodes live up to the opener!

He'd fit right in. Except that in this universe it seems that the pyramids were built by dinosaurs, rather than aliens.

It really has taken a turn to the left and gone all Stargate, hasn't it? An appearance from Daniel Jackson would work pretty much seamlessly nowadays. I'd say it's a crossover waiting to happen, but we're four weeks into the season - somebody's bound to have written it already by now.

From which you can probably gather that I'm still watching. I miss the prettiness that is Stephen, but Becker is reasonably easy on the eye.

We've recently enticed a friend into watching it. He's just made it past the dodos...

It seems even crazier than before. Is that possible?

Becker seems OK so far. I liked that Sarah (? the egyptologist) hit the dinosaur on the head with a 2x4, though -- that reminded me of Stephen with the truck, back in the first season. And Lester's new nemesis seems interesting.

Thank you!

It does seem a little on the crazy side, doesn't it?

... I watched the opener. All I remember is... oh WAIT. The Egyptologist! And wassname building a wall of PACKING CRATES around the anomaly! O, how I laughed.

It really is going completely Stargate/Indiana Jones/X-Files. So so silly.

My god, it was, if possible, even stupider than seasons 1 and 2.

And yet still not as stupid as Bonekickers was. Hard to believe, isn't it?

Well, Cofax is right. It is very, very stupid. But it has dinosaurs!
